For example, lets say that you have "Firefox" version 57.0.
Running AppThraxVersion shows you that the newer version (58.0) is available.

Similarly, suppose "Spotify" version 1.0.70.102 is on your Mac.
Get AppThraxVersion running and it calculates that version 1.0.72.117 is available.

In addition to these versions with just numbers, AppThraxVersion also supports versions with a prefix and suffix, and also those with a whole extra version number.

For example the current version of "FirefoxNightly" may be shown as "60.0 (suffix: a1) (extra: 2018.1.22)", and AppThraxVersion correctly calculates that version "60.0 (suffix: a1) (extra: 2018.1.25)" is available.

Similarly AppThraxVersion shows the current version of "IntelliJ IDEA" to be "2017.3.3 (extra: 173.4301.25)" and the current version of "AppCode" to be "2017.3.2 (extra: 173.4591.3)".

AppThraxVersion is a fantastic application that helps keep everything on your Mac up-to-date.

You can get it from the Mac App Store for macOS 10.13 High Sierra or 10.12 Sierra.
